The third part of our story to the magnificent island in Indonesia called Belitung.
Last day. We’re ready to explore Belitung last day at 7.30AM, but the rain suddenly fall. After 10 minutes waiting for the rain to stop, we’re heading to Kaolin Tin Mining. Mas Jun didn’t know where the location was lol. After we got lost in the middle of beauty mountain (that’s the positive side), we’re arrived. Woaaa! It looks like a crate in Bandung called Kawah Putih. But this one is consist of water, not sulfur. So pretty! So blue! Like my t-shirt and jeans and scarf and bag that day (lol I actually always wear blue). I met my college friend Adi Setiadi here, he was bringing a group of 6 people. He’s so tanned maybe because he climb mountain a lot 😛 Good luck with your wisatagunung.com ya Di!
Rumah Adat Belitung. Next destination was Rumah Adat Belitung. Build in 2009, have the form of stage house, the house was filled with a traditional stuffs. In the living room or the first room stand 2 figure dolls wearing a traditional wedding dress. The second room consist of traditional weapon, farming tools, and kitchen stuff. There were also found traditional musical instrument like gong and rebana. I wasn’t really enjoy a city tour like this. Not really interested…
Museum Belitung. There were a museum in the city of Tanjung Pandan. The content of the museum was vary. From traditional weapon, Chinese porcelain, animal sculpture, tin mining mock-up, and many more. At the back of the museum, there was an open space. I saw a slide, fish pond, bird cages, big tree, swing, look like a big garden. It turned out to be there was a zoo at the back of museum :)) I saw a lizard, many kind of birds, snakes, goose, horse, and a super big crocodile that called “Laskar Pelangi Crocodile” because he showed up at the movie :)) We also found Shen Long, looks like someone has gather all the 7 dragon ball…
All the itinerary has been done. But we still have 2 hours before the flight. As a suggestion from my coworker that I must try Perkedel Rajungan, then we tried to find it. I googled information related to that and found out that Rumah Makan Pribumi sell it. But since it was easter holiday, the restaurant were closed 😦 We’re not giving up! Google said Rumah Makan Sari Laut also have it. We’re rushing to there, and the owner said they weren’t have it because rajungan price is expensive right now 😦 Mas Jun tried to cheer us by bring us to the next restaurant, he said it also sell seafood (I forgot the name of the restaurant). From that restaurant, we’re being told that Dynasty Restaurant have it. Another rushing moment to Dynasty Restaurant (thank God Mas Jun knows the place and we’re not get lost). AND THEY HAVE IT!! So happy :’) They also have a brochure about Es Doger Belitong and we’re going there to buy it :))
After we got the Perkedel Rajungan and Es Doger Belitung (with red bean and green bean), Mas Jun took us to the airport. The taste of Perkedel Rajungan was so delicious, the Es Doger also good. Because we’re hungry (kidding :-P).
